SmartCharge+ is a smart charging app offered by energy suppliers. You set it up once. After that it charges your car in the cheapest hours without you opening the app.
No charger, cable or extra hardware is needed. The app connects to your car through your car brand's own account.
1. Choose your energy supplier
Download SmartCharge+ from the App Store or Google Play. Choose your country, then your energy supplier, and tap Continue.
If your supplier gave you a registration code, choose Enter a registration code instead.
2. Sign in with your energy supplier account
The app opens your energy supplier's login page in your phone's browser. Sign in with the account you already have with your supplier. You do not create a new password, and the app never sees your password.
You accept the privacy policy during this step.
3. Enter your electricity tariff
Your supplier's time blocks are already set in the app. You only fill in what you pay per block. See SmartCharge+: Entering Your Electricity Tariff.
4. Connect your car
Pick your car brand and log in with your car brand's account, for example your Tesla or My BMW account. Give consent on the brand's page, and the car appears in the app.

5. Set your ready-by time
Choose the days and the time your car must be ready, for example 08:00 on weekdays and 10:00 at the weekend. The app charges in the cheapest hours before that time.
The first smart charge happens the next time you plug in at home.
